The Moment Awaited, The Festival Will Come March-May In Bali!

The festival is an event to promote Bali and introduce Balinese culture to the world.

As a popular tourist spot, Bali is famous for its natural and cultural beauty. There are many things that tourists cannot forget when visiting Bali.

Bali does not only depend on its natural beauty. This year many festivals will be held in Bali, undoubtedly making tourists more interested in visiting Bali.

These festivals are held from March to May 2023, so tourists enjoying an extended vacation on the island of Bali can attend these festivals.

1. Ogoh – Ogoh Parade

Ogoh – Ogoh are usually inspired by mythological stories in Hinduism or creatures from legends in Bali. Not infrequently, Ogoh – Ogoh takes the form of someone who has influence.

Ogoh – Ogoh is a sculptural work in Balinese culture that depicts the personality of Bhuta Kala. According to the teachings of Hinduism, bhuta kala describes the immeasurable and undeniable power (Bhu) of the universe and time (kala). Bhuta Kala is synonymous with opposing forces that interfere with human life.

This parade will be held on March 21, 2023, in Denpasar City and several cities in Bali. The Balinese indigenous people, especially teenagers, will jointly make sculptures in the form of these giant dolls. Ogoh – Ogoh are generally made from woven bamboo to make them more environmentally friendly.

2. Bali Rockin Blues Festival

Music is often seen as a medium to bring people together because everyone loves music.

Another festival in Denpasar City is the Bali Rockin Blues Festival which will be held in March 2023. This event will present performances of Rock and Blues genre music. Tourists who like this music genre can come to this music festival.

3. Bhinneka Pantai Jerman Culture Festival

All elements of society are involved in this festival because this festival is a place to attract the attention of tourists to Bali.

This festival includes cultural arts performances such as the Bapang Barong and Mekendang Tunggal festivals, the Legong Keraton Dance, the Spearfishing Competition, the MSME Bazaar, an exhibition of works processed from Residue Plastic, and the performance of the Innovative Women’s Kecak dance. This festival will be held in March 2023.

4. Semarapura Festival

The Semarapura Festival does not only display culture but music performances to attract a lot of attention from the wider community to join this festival.

This festival is being held in Klungkung Regency on April 28 – May 2, 2023. This event will feature various traditional performances that can make tourists feel the thick Balinese culture.

5. Bali Spirit Festival

Tourists who come to Bali must come to this festival because, apart from being able to take part in yoga, the musical performances will not disappoint.

Gianyar is the annual international Yoga, Music, and Dance festival venue. Through this festival, realize the core mantra of Balinese Hinduism, Tri Hita Karana, to harmonize life with the spiritual, social, and natural environment. Tourists interested in coming can note the date of holding this festival on 4 – 7 May 2023.

6. Batur Trail Run

Anyone can attend this event. Young people, adults, and even foreign tourists can also enliven this event.

This event was held in Bangli on May 21, 2023. This cross-country running event was created thanks to the collaboration between the Balinese cross-country runner community, namely Bali Trail Running, and the Bangli Regency Government.
